I've enjoyed drawing ever since being a kid. It started out as drawing the Ninja Turtles and homegrown comic strips inspired by the likes of Calvin & Hobbes. In High School I gained a reputation as an artist, especially for digital illustration with Photoshop and the like, which was wild and crazy back in those days. I was recognized at the state level for my art.
As high school was coming to and end, I was faced with a choice: pursue art or lean into my other passion: computers. As a career, I decided on the latter (the safe choice I sometimes doubt), but I promised myself I would still take art as far as I can in my lifetime.
Today although I earn my living as a computer head, I'm trying to follow through on my promise to take my art as far as I can. For almost 10 yeors I held an art studio in Franklinton at 400 West Rich, where I was fortunate to be part of a great art community, make some lasting friendships, and grow my art skills. I began participating in creating murals around Columbus, something I greatly enjoy, which I continue to do as I can. I built a large mural wall in my backyard in order to be able to keep practicing.
I hope you will keep up with my art journey here and on Instagram as I continue to grow and learn.
